Drum roll… We have a Sales Agent - the NY based Cargo Film & Releasing. They work worldwide on films (recent titles such as Bronx Obama and An Honest Liar) and will focus on Cinema, TV, digital & educational and so we hope that our little Scottish film will be flying across the globe complete with subtitles for the Scottish accents. It’s the incredible songs from our amazing cast that make the film universal.
They don’t waste time! They immediately made a deal for us in Czech Republic with One World Film Festival in Prague who have a wonderful initiative called Get Your Audience! for specialized screenings across the country. Since they started in 2010 it has snowballed and so far they’ve had 4000 screening hosts organising 11,000 screenings to more than 90,000 viewers. We’re thrilled that they’ve chosen Seven Songs for a Long Life to be part of this grassroots initiative, which puts the audience in the centre of the experience. For the next 3 years the film will be available throughout Czech Republic sparking discussion, some laughter and tears and maybe some great new songs.
